We met on a hot summer day in Austin, TX at–you guessed it–a fitness event.  Autumn was doing backflips and Erica was running sprints.  We knew we wanted to work together on a project, but life took us in opposite directions for a time.  “We plan and God laughs.” Right?!

Seven years later, Autumn had become a mother and a wife, and Erica found herself surviving cold Colorado winters with her husband and fur baby.

After many virtual calls, and many more weekend trips to ATX so Erica could thaw out, we decided there’s no time like the present to share with the world the work that makes our hearts dance.  Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey.

Who are you?

I’m Erica and I am thankful you are here. I am passionate about how digital technology can help individuals achieve and maintain their health and fitness goals. In 2018 I pivoted from one-on-one and group physical training to learn more about web development in an effort to share what I’ve learned–and continue to learn–with a wider audience. That journey led me here. I understand that trusting someone to help you with your health and fitness goals starts with getting to know them, so here’s some info about me.

What is your why?

Service has been a guiding theme for me throughout my life. My mission as an instructor and mentor is to lead by positive example and inspire others to make healthy decisions with regards to their emotional, physical and mental well-being. I hold a B.S. degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and proudly served my country as a member of the US Army Adjutant General Corp. After life in the Army, I had a few service oriented corporate jobs, but the Universe kept steering my ship back to fitness.

What is your personal movement background?

I come from a diverse Pilates, fitness, and movement background. My early passion for fitness carried me throughout middle school, high school, and Division I collegiate athletics where I once held the USMA women’s track and field indoor and outdoor pole vault records–but that’s a story for another time. My desire to be a lifetime athlete led me to Pilates.

What are some of the most impactful Continuing Education programs you’ve completed?

What is a daily mantra that gets you through a tough patch?

“If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.”

What are you doing when you aren’t working?

If I’m not on a tennis court having a blast while working on improving my ranking and rating, I’m curled up on my couch learning about astrology. Regardless of the activity, I’m always looking for that next challenge. I’ll see you out there!

Who are you?

Hello and Welcome. I’m Autumn, and fitness is all I have ever really known. I have been training private clients and group classes for the past 24 years. At 16 I started taking full contact boxing lessons, after taking my first class I was hooked and started coaching right after. Watching women realize how strong and capable they are was the greatest feeling and from then I knew helping women would be my life.

Did you play any sports growing up?

I have always been involved in fitness and sports. Growing up I competed in a variety of sports including men’s wrestling and gymnastics and later went on to become a collegiate cheerleader.

Has your focus always been on wellness and feeling your best?

No! As a young woman in the fitness industry I was all consumed by fitness and forgot to incorporate wellness of the entire body. I didn’t know much about the nervous system, how vital recovery is for our body and hormones or the role of the breath. I was focused on movement and what I thought was healthy eating.

So what led to the change?

In my late 20s I was diagnosed with celiacs and on top of that, I was born with a lung condition that meant that I suffered from chronic pneumonia and other lung infections. On top of that, I found myself unintentionally overtraining and undereating. My hormones crashed, I was unable to recover and continued to reach for caffeine to combat it all. With this came my continued journey on understanding wellness. In particular wellness for women. How important the right type and amount of training is, sleep, breathing, how crucial form was to movement, and the importance of training for healthy joints.

What is your why?

My son! At the age of 38, I had my first child and got married. I know that I am the only person who can ensure that he is raised by a Mom who is happy and healthy. And in order to do that, I have to make my mental and physical health a priority. I train so that I can keep up with my son. I want to be that Mom who is snowboarding and climbing trees with him and feeling great while doing it.
